How Does Time Range Work?

Time Range: The Details

This is a great tool when you want to define when an activity can happen! Whether it is a meal period, a morning activity, evening activity, or an afternoon only activity, Time Range allows you to define when this activity is available. It is important to know that there is a 10 minute window for the period start time relative to the activity start-end time ranges. We added this "cushion" so in the event you have to adjust your day schedule times, the AutoScheduler can still schedule this activity.

Example:

If the activity Time Range is 1pm-3pm, then any period whose start time is between 12:50pm and 2:50pm will be eligible for scheduling. So if a period start time is 2:55 and is a 3 hour period, it will still fit into this slot (we don't track period lengths in the AutoScheduler, so we made it arbitrarily long for an example). Also worth noting is that Meals check the time range independently of the Rules engine, so they are based on exact times.
